FAQ

Do you accept insurance or L&I?

We accept insurance for acupuncture treatment. Please call us to verify your health insurance coverage prior to the visit.

We also accept personal injury protection (PIP) and L&I for chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy. Our chiropractor is an out-of-network provider. All payments are due at the time of service. Although the chiropractor does not bill your insurance directly, necessary documentation can be provided for you to submit for your medical reimbursement from your health insurance company. The rate of medical reimbursement varies depending on individual health insurance plan.

Why Acupuncture?

Having evolved over thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the oldest continually practiced medical modalities in the world. Acupuncture is used to prevent and treat disease, relieve pain, balance mood, enhance athletic performance, increase fertility, and improve overall health and wellness.

Modern research has shown that acupuncture is a safe, effective, chemical-free way to promote the body's remarkable self-healing abilities. An acupuncture treatment involves the insertion and manipulation of flexible, hair-thin needles at specific points on the body. Most patients find the sensations produced by acupuncture treatment to be deeply relaxing both mentally and physically.

What should I do before acupuncture treatment?

It is recommended that you wear loose clothes to the clinic or bring it with you to change in the treatment room. It allows acupuncturist to palpate and locate the acupuncture points easily without obstruction. We can also provide you a medical gown for you to change before the treatment. It is also highly advised that you eat a snack and do not come in with empty stomach.

How often should the patients be treated?

Because each individual responds to acupuncture treatment differently, the treatment frequency varies. Other factors, such as severity of disease or pain, age, season, or health history should be considered when it comes to creating treatment plan. For most cases, patients should be treated 2 to 3 times a week at the beginning treatment stage in order to maintain the therapeutic effect. Patients should be given follow-up treatments before the pain is allowed to return to its original level.

How long does it take for you to respond to patient's request and questions?

We usually respond to patient withing 24 to 48 hours. If you have emergency, please call 911.
